Industrial Water Filters
Swati Water Purification – Industrial Water Filters Supplier, Industrial Water Filters Manufacturer.

Industrial Water Filters
Industrial Water Filters are essential components in water treatment systems used to remove various contaminants from water in industrial processes. These filters help ensure that water used in industrial applications is clean and free from particles, debris and impurities that could negatively impact machinery,
product quality or the environment. They are employed across a wide range if industries, including manufacturing, power generation, food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals and wastewater treatment.

Capacities:
- Small-Scale filters: 1 to 10 KLD (for small industries or commercial units).
- Medium-Scale filters: 10 to 100 KLD (for medium-sized manufacturing or industrial applications).
- Large-Scale filters: 100 to 1,000 KLD (used in larger industrial plants or factories)
- Very Large-scale filters: 1,000 KLD or more (for large-scale industrial operations, power plants or municipal systems).
The Capacity depends on factors such as water quality, flow rate and specific industrial requirements.
Types of Industrial Water Filters:
1. Sand Filters: Used to remove suspended solids and particles from water using a bed of sand.
2. Cartridge Filters: Used for fine filtration by trapping particles in a replaceable cartridge.
3. Multigrade Filters: Use multiple layers of different media to remove larger and finer suspended solids.
4. Activated Carbon Filters: Remove chlorine, odors and organic impurities through adsorption.
5. Bag Filters: Similar to cartridge filters but with a large bag that captures larger amounts of ontaminants.
6. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filters: Use a semi-permeable membrane to remove dissolved salts, bacteria and other impurities.
7. Ultrafiltration (UF) Filters: Remove suspended solids, bacteria and larger molecules using a membrane-based process.
8. Ion Exchange Filters: Used to soften water by removing hardness-causing ions like calcium and magnesium.
9. Iron Removal Filters: Specifically designed to remove iron and manganese from water.
10. Pressure Filters: Designed to work under pressure to force water through a filtration medium.
11. Disc Filters: Used in applications such as process water filtration and wastewater treatment.
How Industrial Water Filters Work:
1. Water Entry: Water enters the filtration system and flows through various filter media or membranes.
2. Filtration Process:
- Sand Filters: Remove large particles and suspended solids as water passes through a bed of sand.
- Cartridge/Bag Filters: Water Passes through a cartridge or bag that traps particles, removing impurities.
- Activated Carbon Filters: Adsorb Chemicals, Chlorine and organic contaminants from the water.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO): Uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove dissolved salts, minerals and other impurities.
- Ion-Exchange: Replaces undesirable ions (like calcium or magnesium) with more desirable ones (like sodium) to soften the water.
3. Clean Water Exit: The filtered water exits the system, ready for use in industrial processes, cooling systems or other applications.
4. Maintenance: Filters are periodically cleaned or replaced to maintain efficiency, depending on the type of filter used. These filters ensure that water is purified to meet the specific quality requirements of various industrial processes.
Applications of Industrial Water Filters:
1. Cooling System: Filters water used in cooling towers and heat exchangers to remove debris and prevent clogging.
2. Boiler Water Treatment: Removes impurities and suspended solids to prevent scaling and corrosion in boilers.
3. Industrial Processes: Ensure clean water for manufacturing, processing and production such as in textiles or pharmaceuticals.
4. Wastewater Treatment: used in effluent treatment plants to filter solids and contaminants from industrial wastewater.
5. Food & Beverage Industry: Ensures clean water for production processes, including washing, mixing and processing.
6. Oil & Gas Industry: Removes solids from produced water and maintains water quality for various operations.
7. Semiconductor Manufacturing: used to purify water to extremely high standards, removing contaminants that could affect manufacturing processes.
8. Power Plants: Filters remove debris and suspended solids from cooling and boiler water to prevent corrosion and scaling.
9. Chemical Plants: Filters help in purifying water for manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality and preventing equipment damage.
10. Pharmaceuticals: Filters provide high-purity water for drug production and cleaning, meeting stringent quality standards.
11. Textile Industry: Removes fibers, dyes and chemicals from water used in dyeing, washing and rinsing processes.
12. Mining: Filters help clean water used in extraction processes, minimizing contamination and protecting machinery.
Industrial Water Filters are used to remove impurities from water in various industrial applications.
